The most fun day with my babies!!! A while back, The most fun day with my babies!!! A while back, one of my kiddos said he (or she 🤪) didn’t think that knowing about the color wheel was important, so I took that statement as a challenge and set aside a day for us to learn that the color wheel + compliments & contrasts + color mixing actually ARE important! I personally feel that knowing all about color helps us appreciate God’s beautiful creation even more than we already do! The vibrancy of wild flowers, the complimentary colors on tree leaves, the monochromatic color schemes God uses in the clouds… it’s all so meaningful! After brunch at @elviesrestaurant where I showed them a little slide show about color, then a coffee stop at @cultivatecoffeeproject, we headed to @msmuseumart! We each took a few Polaroids throughout the morning highlighting some sort of color story we each selected. Dempsey chose neutrals, Wilson chose pops of red, Lily chose the red & green compliment, and I chose monochrome! Sadly we ran out of Polaroid film so we didn’t get to take quite as many pics as we wanted to but it was still a fun project! 😆 After the art museum, the kids asked if we could do the Mississippi History Museum since we were already downtown, so we went for it! Such a great museum if you’ve never been 🫶 Overall it was a wonderful day, and it is my hope that all my babies appreciate color (and MS history) more than they did when they woke up! Grateful for a free day to get to spend with them. God is good, and color is beautiful!

Yesterday vs 14 months ago! Lil got her braces on Yesterday vs 14 months ago! Lil got her braces on in April 2025 to straighten up those slightly crazy teeth that I accidentally passed down to her 😆 and look at them now!!! Thank you sweet @lcsandifer and the @sandiferorthodontics fam for taking such great care of my girl and her smile! We could not recommend Sandifer Ortho in @highlandvillagejxn any more highly! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ And shout out to @coachscreamery_livingston where she wanted to get her very first post-braces treat! Her moose tracks milkshake hit the spot 🤩
Birthday dinners with these precious friends throu Birthday dinners with these precious friends throughout the year every year for, what, two decades now (?😆) have always been and will continue to always be such a highlight for me. Where would I be without these gals? We love great food and drinks almost as much as we love each other!! 🥰 Happy 40th to our @clairewinchester & @rachel2cooley!! Also, if you don’t already know… the dip trio at @eatlapresa (particularly THE SALSA) is basically the best appetizer on any menu in the Jackson area. And the light, crispy, salty tortilla chips that come with… 🤤 Just go try it/them if you haven’t already! 🤩
