The Travel Issue

Have y’all seen the latest issue of Social South? It’s SO PRETTY! I’m obsessed with the cover (and I don’t even like oysters. It’s just so cool and artsy!)

I got to contribute to two really fun pieces in this issue, so maybe you can check them out when you get your hands on a copy (OR you can just read it here online!)

The first piece is on the newly developing Town of Livingston. I got to take the pictures for this piece and my friend Amanda Wells wrote the story! The picture taking actually took a really long time, not because the actual photo snapping was time-consuming, but because everyone out there is so darn friendly! I kept finding myself just chatting rather than picture taking! It really was a fun day on the job! 😉

The second piece was about a travel-themed wedding that took place in Georgia. I got to interview the wedding planner and write the story. According to the pictures that accompanied the story, it was a gorgeous celebration! Wish I could’ve been there!

See what I mean? Looks like such a great wedding!

Sort of off topic, but not really, since this issue of Social South is all about travel…

I’ve always been so thankful to live in the Jackson area! I feel like there is a lot of neat stuff going on here, so having staycations here are totally doable and fun. But we are in the perfect spot to easily get to New Orleans, Memphis, Atlanta, the beach… So many fun things just a few hours away!

Speaking of New Orleans… Price and I took a very quick 19-hour trip to New Orleans to celebrate my 30th! It was short, but man was it fun!!! I’ll share pics in the next week or so!

Hope you’re having a good week so far!

Such a great piece in Social South! I absolutely love The Gathering at Livingston and that whole area is so stinkin’ cute! Well worth the drive from Meridian 🙂
