Those Who Spoke, Part 3 + Plans For Another!

Those Who Speak, third edition, is in the books, and it was amazing. Possibly my favorite meeting yet! We had a great crowd of folks and enjoyed some incredible food (like a pumpkin and goat cheese dip topped with pecans and apples! So good… I can’t stop thinking about it!)

Better than the food was the group of girls who came. Such a special handful of women, all with different stories. There is something so therapeutic about talking through feelings left from losing a child or not being able to have a child. I think about my Anna every day (that’s what Price and I named our little girl we miscarried back in July of 2013) and I love talking about her life, even though it only lasted 11 weeks. God taught us so much through her! It’s great to be able to chat candidly with others about their similar experiences and to share in encouraging each other.

If you’ve experienced any trouble at all with infertility or the loss of a young child, we would just LOVE having you at the next meeting, which has been scheduled for FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6th at 6 p.m.! The location is still TBD but we’ll have that detail nailed down soon! 🙂

Those Who Speak - February 6, 2015

I know there are some ladies out there who are not sure if Those Who Speak is for them or not. First, I would encourage you just to be in prayer about it! But to give you an idea of who has come to meetings past, it’s been women who have been trying to get pregnant for months or years without any success, some of whom have seen a fertility specialist, and some who have not. Women who have experienced one or more miscarriages. Women who have had difficulty getting pregnant with baby #2 after baby #1 came with no trouble at all. Women who have been pregnant with multiples and ended up only delivering one breathing baby. Women who found out in their third trimester that their child was only going to make it a few days or weeks here on this earth after delivery. Women who have done IUI and IVF, some successful and some not yet. Women who have had multiple miscarriages and are now seeing their grown children have their own pregnancies. Women who could talk all night long. Women who don’t want to say a word and simply listen. Women who want to share what The Lord and their doctors have taught them. Women who want to hear what others have learned. Women who need advice on what to do next. Women who want to talk to someone who understands what it’s like. Women who know how common infertility is, even though people rarely talk about it…

If you fall into any category mentioned above, or one similar, then you are the whole reason this group was created! Even if you can’t make it, please start praying now that it will go well and that people will be touched!

If you have any questions about how our meetings are formatted or any other questions about the group, please please please email me!

I wanted to close this post with a verse that I don’t think I’d ever heard of before until a friend brought it to my attention… It’s so beautiful!

“I wil not cause pain without allowing something new to be born, says the Lord.”

Isaiah 66:9
