Those Who Spoke + Plans For Another!

Good Monday morning to y’all! I hope your weekend was just smashing! 🙂 Mine was relaxing, which is rare and very nice!!

So it’s been a whole week since Those Who Speak, and I’m still replaying parts of it in my mind every single day! It was incredible!

People started getting to my house around 6, so we just visited, met new people (since very few of us already knew more than a couple of other people!), had some drinks and nibbled a little bit, and just had a great time of fellowship!

Those Who Speak Recap // THE HIVE

My friend Lauren Bowie who came (and brought some glorious cupcakes!) did a wonderful job of summing up the evening in a post on her blog. Then she shared such an amazing story about something she and her mom have had to sort out lately stemming from the loss of her precious baby boy Wills. Please be sure to read it! The story inspired me so much. She will never fully know 🙂

Anyway, Those Who Speak was simply amazing. God showed up. We laughed and cried together, shared our own stories of hurt, loss, and faith, and were reminded that we aren’t by ourselves when this hard stuff crops up. The more I reflect on the meeting, the bigger I see that God is. I was stopped in my tracks yesterday and started really thinking about something I’ve known for years, only yesterday it just really set in. Like really set in. And it was this: God is SO MUCH BIGGER than what we can see. He’s bigger than my story or your story. He’s bigger than what my little human eyes and mind can see and wrap around. He’s got this! He knows our story from start to finish before it ever even happens and He works it together for GOOD!!! He promises that in Jeremiah 29:11, and He doesn’t break promises! How easy is it to lose sight of that when all we can think about is how much we hurt!? I know how easy it is, fo sho! But the God who is so big that He created every. single. life. that ever was, whether that life only made it 5 weeks inside his or her mama’s womb, or that life lived through an entire century, He CARES about each and every one of those lives! Like intimately cares. That just blows me away when I think about it. 🙂

Those Who Speak was so great that we decided to make it a regular quarterly thing! Once we have a date set for the next one, I’ll definitely post it so any of you who might be interested in coming can have all the details. Ladies who have experienced trouble getting pregnant, staying pregnant, or have lost an infant, this group is all for you. I hope that if you fall into one of those categories, you’ll consider coming to the next one!

And thanks to all the gals who made it out to the first one. I truly enjoyed getting to know more about all of you. Can’t wait til we meet again! 🙂

Have a wonderful day knowing that God’s got everything under control! 😉
