Three Days of Tutu

Three days in a row of tutu wearing

Last weekend was a big weekend for our little princess Lily Ryan, as we had three days in a row of princess activities! Saturday was my precious niece Rowan’s birthday party, Sunday was the Fairytale Princess Tea to benefit The Orphan Door, and Monday was Pirate and Princess Day at school to kick off “P week” where they studied the letter P!

Since I do my best to make do with the clothes we have for certain “smaller” occasions (like a dress up day or a birthday party) rather than go out and buy new costumes for every single dress up occasion, we re-used the same princess (/ballerina) outfit three days in a row! Lily Ryan LOVED it, I tell ya. By Tuesday, she was under the impression that her tutu was her life uniform and was slightly upset to not get to wear it!

All that to say, if you’re a girl mom, I think you could get a ton of mileage out of one of these tutus! Ours held up great after three days of hand washing and air drying. The quality is beautiful, and they seem SO comfortable!

Secondly, I just can’t get over how cute Rowan’s birthday party was. It was princess themed and my SIL Katie did such a beautiful job of planning it! Lily Ryan had a BLAST! Wilson did too, but he ended up hanging out with his granddaddy, daddy, and uncle most of the time, as they were the only dudes in attendance! 😉 Here are some party pics so you can appreciate just how precious these little tutus are! 🙂 And just because I love so many of the pictures taken that day…

Sunday was Fairytale Princess Tea day. It was a precious event. And Lil loved getting to sport the tutu inside! We did have to bundle up while we waited outside– it was actually cold on Sunday! I always get a million compliments on this little jacket of hers when she wears it. Moms of little girls, this Burberry dupe is TWENTY DOLLARS. Read: YOU NEED IT! It has held up great for us, and it’s been Lily Ry’s primary jacket for over a year!

We met all the princesses, but Snow White was her favorite! (Pardon her mouth crust… No clue what that is…) Find out more about this cool girly fundraiser here!

Then came Monday, which was Pirate and Princess Day! Not the best pic here, but oh my goodness I love seeing these littles have fun with a theme! (They are their parents’ children! 😉 ) Wilson finally made peace with the fact that he would not have a full out pirate costume to wear that day, and ended up having a blast. This pic was snapped in the middle of his “why don’t I have a full pirate costume?” meltdown and his embracement (is that a word?) of what we were working with. Hence the face. All was well! ha!

Thank y’all SO much for stopping by! I hope you are having an awesome week! We are busy little bees over here getting ready for baby brother’s arrival and the fact that we are starting construction on our upstairs buildout in just a matter of days! (AHHH! We are insane, yet I’m very excited! Pray for us!)

I hope to talk to ya at least one more time before baby brother joins us, but if I don’t, I’ll talk to y’all soon! (You can keep an eye on my instagram to see if he’s made it here yet or not!)

XOXO!!

// mini purchase of the week: a new Boppy lounger, as the one we used for the other two was lookin NASTY when we got it down from the attic. I did actually order a new cover for the old one, too, so we will have two to use! I love Boppy loungers so we will make great use out of both! //
