Wilson’s Simplified 6th Birthday Party

Well hello! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been able to pull together a blog post! I feel like I have so much to catch up on over here! But before I let another day pass, I wanted to share Wilson’s 6th birthday party from back in December!

I LOVE birthdays and going all out on birthday parties for my kiddos. I think the reason why I love them so much is because I have complete creative control. And also because I love celebrating my kids, of course!! But with Wilson turning six, he is also developing his own party opinions! And I am not here to argue with a birthday boy!

He wanted a dinosaur theme party with pizza at one of his favorite places: Madison County Sports Zone (which is basically a bunch of bouncy houses and baseball stuff! A young boy’s dream!)

To insert a little cuteness while still meeting the approval of the birthday boy, I did some MeriMeri dino plates, napkins, and banners. And normally I would’ve ordered a cake, but Wilson said he wanted to pick out his own cake! So to Kroger we went! He selected a birthday cake and some “happy birthday” candles, then told me how to arrange MnMs on the cake to spell SIX! He was pleased, so I was too! 🙂

I love how everything turned out, it was way easier than any birthday party I’ve done in the past, and Wilson had a blast with his best little buddies. In all the chaos of 2020, I think keeping one of our favorite year-end events really simple was just what we needed 🙂

Here are links to everything we used! 🙂

The cute dino banner is now hanging in Wilson’s room over his bookshelf and it is precious! Love a party dec that can morph into a room dec! 🙂 And I will 100% use those cute leaves for other parties in the future. They were such great quality!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sweet, tender-hearted, hilarious, hungry, tall, growing, flowy-haired, smart, people-loving WilsWils! We always love celebrating that boy, no matter the day!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope your new year is off to a wonderful start! xo!
