Christmas With Cousin Eddie, 8.0

 The 8th Christmas With Cousin Eddie has officially wrapped! Even though it’s been a weird party season, we decided that the show must go on, and we had a BLAST with our smaller than usual, yet extremely high quality crowd!

Price and I adore National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, so putting this party together is one of the highlights of our year. We truly love working together to pull it off! And this year’s setup was the best yet, thanks to ALPHA-LIT JACKSON! These guys are new(ish) to the area and did the beautiful Christmas Vacation sign out back! It was huge and bright and over-the-top, which couldn’t be more perfect for a Griswold party! Please go give Alpha-Lit some love on Instagram!

I didn’t get as many photos as I wished, but I feel like I say that every year. One of these years I need to bite the bullet and hire a photographer! I did, however, get this video which shows almost every detail!

If you haven’t seen the recaps of years past, please feel free to take a peek at those! We try to keep as many details as we can from year to year, adding a few new ones each year to keep it fresh! Here are the past years’ recaps:

The new details this year were a Clark cardboard cutout, Todd & Margo’s Margs (like the pitcher they were drinking when Margo was saying she was a teeny bit sad they didn’t get a Christmas tree that year, then Clark’s tree busts through their window) and a tin of Hershey’s kisses with a great quote! When Ellen’s dad sees Rocky and says, “Have you got a kiss for me?” that’s when Eddie shares about Rocky’s lip fungus they ain’t identified yet. I’m laughing typing that!!!

OH MY GOODNESS THIS MOVIE IS SO GREAT!!!! It just never gets old!

Oh! And another fun add is our napkins! I had my friend Bethany at Mahaffey’s Quality Printing in Jackson do me some napkins, and I ordered plenty, so these will be a fixture for the next several years! 🙂

For the margaritas, I used this recipe for PARTY MARGS. They are SO good, and this recipe makes plenty for a crowd!
