It seems to have become my tradition to post about Christmas With Cousin Eddie, our annual Griswoldy bash, the month after it actually happened. The past several years, it seems like we have CWCE one weekend, Wilson’s birthday party the next, and then we are in full on Christmas mode with all the gatherings, and I just don’t have time to sit down and reflect as punctually as I once did! Haha but I’m ok with the late reflections. Only the important stuff sticks with me for that long and makes it into the blog post! 😉
This round was our ELEVENTH edition! It’s not technically annual since we took a year off, twice, to snuggle with newborns in lieu of the party. But I’m still going to say annual anyway! 😉 Price and I LOVE putting on this party and we love enjoying it with our friends!
I’ll start with costumes first this recap! Price was his traditional black-dickie-and-see-through-sweater version of Eddie and I was Margo from the “why is the carpet all wet, Todd?” scene!
Price’s outfit was ordered YEARS ago as part of an official set, but sadly it’s discontinued! Here are some items you might could use, though, to piece together an Eddie-ish look! 🙂

My Margo look was very pieced together but turned out pretty nicely! I used a black tube skirt for the bottom, then up top, I put on a white puff sleeve mock neck blouse, but a black tube top on top of that, “swooped” the tube top to lay correctly upon “the girls,” then I cut black paper triangles and taped them to the neck of my shirt! haha Here are some very similar items if you want to try to piece together this look!

Here are some more “people pics” to see what some of our friends wore!
I love that last pic. It’s three stages of MARGO! 🙂
Now let’s move on to food and drink, shall we?! I never get as many photos as I want to… I really need to remember to hire a photographer to help me on that front! But here is what I DID get photos of this year…
Jelly of the month, OF COURSE! These printable Jelly of the Month Club labels are available as printables HERE!
I am in this moment realizing that there are a TON of things I didn’t get photos of! I did get some videos and made them into a reel, which you can SEE HERE, so maybe you can spot some more of the food items since I did such a bad job on the pics!
The cocktail hit of the evening was a new one called Her Eyes Are Frozen. I posted the recipe HERE so please take a look! It works well as an individual cocktail or as a big batch! 🙂 I also did one called Blue Leisure Suit but I didn’t do a good job of writing down my proportions on that one. I’ll try to get it figured out and do a separate post about it later! 🙂
Here are a few more snaps from the evening. It really was such a GREAT night, which partially explains why I got fewer pics– I was having too much fun!
Here are a few other fun party items you might enjoy having!
