The Ultimate Skinny Margarita

Who loves a good margarita?!
MEEEEE!!!

I’ll continue with a mexican theme this week (since I talked about tacos yesterday) with this south-of-the-border inspired cocktail! A great marg might be one of my favorite simple pleasures in life. They just always seem to really hit the spot! They are not always, however, very diet friendly…

The average restaurant margarita has something like 300-400 calories and is full of artificial stuff like sweet & sour. That’s plum crazy to me! Ever since Bethenny Frankel introduced the skinny girl margarita, I’ve been on the quest to make my own skinny marg.

Skinny, all-natural margarita on { The Hive }

This skinny, all-natural margarita is just what the diet doctor ordered! 😉

Here’s what you’ll need for one margarita:

Cocktail shaker
2 ounces of tequila
about 1/2 ounce of triple sec (the all natural kind)
the juice from two limes and one lemon
1 packet of stevia
Ice

Combine all ingredients in the shaker and get your shake on for a few seconds. Rim your glass with salt if you wish, pour the the freshly shaken mixture into the glass, garnish as you wish, and — most importantly — enjoy!!

This one serving has under 150 calories (I’m not sure exactly how many) and tastes spectacular! If you make this, be sure to come back and tell me how you like it! 🙂
