One of *those* weekends. One of the really, really One of *those* weekends. One of the really, really good ones! ☀️ I love this season!
The AMERIGO FAMILY MEAL 🇮🇹 totally hit the s The AMERIGO FAMILY MEAL 🇮🇹 totally hit the spot for us earlier this week! The Amerigo family meal is a pre-fixe takeout meal with multiple entree options plus a couple of salad options and their world-famous bread & dipping oil, all packed up neatly and ready for you and yours to grab whilst out, then enjoy at home! The meal is enough food to officially feed four, but it could totally feed five if you have a light eater or two in the mix! We enjoyed our Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo, Caesar salad, and bread, and heartily endorse this combo 😆 although I’m certain ALL the food options are wonderful! Let’s go to a trampoline park with a cochlear ki Let’s go to a trampoline park with a cochlear kid! Because my CI kiddo has a low magnet strength due to a skin sensitivity, he opts to take his devices totally off rather than risk losing them in one of these foam block pits.🤣 (Sometimes we will use the little straps that connect his ears to his shirt, but honestly, those bother him more than help him!) We don’t sign, but he is great at lip reading, so that’s how we communicate on days like this. It never fails, though… the moment I take eyes off of him, he climbs on something he isn’t supposed to and a trampoline park referee yells at him. Little do they know, he can’t hear them! So I usually just go tell them, “he’s deaf so yell at me and I will communicate with him!” (And bless their hearts- they always feel so bad about yelling at him so I always try to joke and lighten the mood!) Because of such scenarios, I’m not currently able to sit and read a book. I’m within ear shot at all times. That’s ok though because I have a front row seat to watching him take in all the fun! He says he likes jumping in silence and is pretty sure he has just as much (if not more) fun than all the hearing kiddos! We love trampoline parks and can’t wait to go back! 🤩

It’s just me, thinking back on spring break 2006 It’s just me, thinking back on spring break 2006 and comparing it to spring break 2026 and how much I appreciate the contrast! ✨ 2006 was all about the right swim suit and what night we’d eat at Red Bar. 2026 is all about how caught up I can get on laundry between baseball games 😆 I love both what was and what is, and I believe the stark contrasts make each “style” of spring breaking so very unique and special! (And yes, with the right God-given perspective, a spring break of catching up around the house can indeed be quite lovely 🥰) Loving life and getting to enjoy each vastly different phase is such a gift! I’m so glad we slowed down enough to do these that one spring night three years ago. We had to move things around to make these happen but man I’m so glad we did. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times. (And now I’m preaching to myself because it’s been too long) but… HIRE THE PHOTOGRAPHER. Get those little ages captured in good photos. If you’re ever looking for an extra fun place to If you’re ever looking for an extra fun place to stay in Oxford, MS, might I recommend this spot?! It’s sunshine & smiles & color & palm beach & flamingos & joy all wrapped into a two bedroom apartment! And you can walk to the Square in about 2 minutes, so PERFECT location! My friend and I had the BEST stay and are grateful to @velvet_ditch_villas for providing such a lovely spot for us to land! I will absolutely be back! ☀️

2/25 is International Cochlear Implant Day! We a 2/25 is International Cochlear Implant Day! We are so thankful for these little devices that give the gift of sound to our deaf kiddo! Dempsey and his implants live a full, joyous, sound-filled life and we couldn’t be more grateful! ✨💛🫶 On this day, we celebrate this unique, unexpected path and all of the incredible people and experiences we’ve enjoyed along the way! There are certainly hard days mixed in here and there, but when we have the right perspective, those are what make the good days that much better! 🥰 2 Corinthians 2:19 says, “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” God, thank you!! 🙏 We love our boy and his sweet little ears SO MUCH! Happy CI day!!
