Having a French Moment

A French moment with Cap Corse Mattei and charcuterie

I am so excited to share what I’ve been sipping on lately from Colony Wine Market! I follow this Mississippi-based wine blogger Danielle of The Southern Vino, who happens to also partner regularly with Colony Wine Market in Madison, and she recently featured Cap Corse Mattei, which is a French aperitif. I knew by the way she described it that I had to try it.

IT. IS. DELIGHTFUL! It is such a fun drink! Since it’s an aperitif, of course it goes great with food. And since this particular kind is French, I’ve been getting my french vibes on with pretty, sparse cheese + charcuterie platters! (I could eat charcuterie 3 meals a day. Anyone else?!)

It’s a bit citrusy, and maybe a teeny bit bitter, but that is what makes it! I’ve had it over ice, topped with Cava (really loved it with Colony Wine Market’s Montsarra Cava), and even with some lemon Bubly. I definitely prefer it with a sparkling component to it, so I recommend the cava or the Bubly!

Have you tried this stuff? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Thank you so much for stopping in! And huge thanks to Colony Wine Market for supporting this post. All opinions are my own!
