Fall Florals from Target

I found the most amazing dress from Target that I feel was MADE for me! Do you ever get that feeling when you see something on the rack and just freak out from excitement!? I know I’m not alone! 😉

It’s no secret that I love Target. It’s a great place to get simple basics as well as more statement-like pieces. Like this dress! The only thing is…. Target isn’t locally owned business! So one thing I’ve been super mindful of lately is that when I do wear something “big box” (like Target or Old Navy) I try to balance it out with accessories, jewelry, shoes, headbands, scarves, etc. from my favorite local shops!

In many cases, local shops are a tad more expensive, but I’m a-okay with paying more to get something from my favorite local businesses because I know that those businesses are owned by people who LIVE HERE and who invest into our community. Their kids play sports with my kids. I go to church with them. I run into them at the oil change place. They are investing in a small business that makes our city unique and a little bit quirky, which I love! Ya feel me?

So with the Target dress, I have the Arco Avenue shoes and purse, and some Monkee’s earrings! I’m calling my accessories my “high” (more expensive) pieces and the Target dress my “low” (because it was $30 and somewhat trendy.)

On the flip, when I get a nicer dress from a local shop, you just might see me with an Old Navy blazer over it! 😉 I’ll leave you with a few more well-priced fall florals here! AND, if you think about it like this– when you purchase a piece I post about here, I (a local small business owner) make a small commission, which I can then go invest back into our local economy! That’s how I like to view it! 🙂

LASTLY! For fellow local business + Target lovers, I’ve teamed up with some local businesses on Instagram to give away a great little fall gift for one of you! You can enter here! One of the local business owners in on the giveaway is the FABULOUS Lindsay Vallas Ott, who took these photos! Thank you so much, Lindsay!!

Do you do high/low with your looks, too? I’d love to hear!

Thanks for reading! xoxo!!

You left off a word when you said: (because it was $30 and somewhat trendy.)

I’ll have to give K’m’M’quaid a call and see what he thinks about it!
