Navigating Fall in Mississippi

Fall. Bright leaves, football, and crisp, cool air. Right? Wellll those first two line up with our current Mississippi fall, but not necessarily that last one! Currently, as I type, it is 78 degrees outside. It’s gotten close to 90 a couple of days recently! The warm temps honestly don’t bother me because I love hot weather, but I’m just so ready for jackets and boots and scarves! I feel like I’ve exhausted my warm weather wardrobe! ha!

One way I’ve enjoyed doing fall while keeping things weather appropriate are wearing more summery dresses with boots and a light jacket. And I’ve even thrown in a scarf once or twice just for fun. Dresses keep things breezy, and the light jacket is helpful for when the air is blasting at work or at a restaurant. This particular jacket has been wonderful– it’s extremely light, it’s black (read: goes with everything), and it’s so pretty! I love the longer hem and the side slits. This jacket has been clutch for me recently!

Despite our lack of seasonal weather, I’m still really glad it’s football season and really glad that I live in Mississippi! 🙂

I hope y’all have a fantastic day and thank you SO much for reading! xo!
