How do you find true, deep, meaningful, lasting happiness? As I was taping one of my journals back together one morning last week because a nameless tiny person pulled the cover off, I think I found a pretty good clue scribbled down within its pages: “We are not called to happiness. We are called to holiness. When we seek holiness, a natural byproduct is joy. When we embrace joy, a natural byproduct is happiness.” Our life group girls came up with this one Wednesday night as we were just chatting and I LOVE IT!!!! I think it’s so beautiful! So glad I wrote it down, too! What a great reminder to get the foundation right, then good things can be built upon it.
