Easter Babies

HAPPY EASTER, people! I hope you had a FANTASTIC Easter and are filled with a joy and hope that can only come from the One who died and rose again! 🙂

We had a great weekend overall, complete with a couple of egg hunts, some pretty weather, good family time, and a beautiful Easter service at our church. Man, the sacrifice Jesus made for us is straight up humbling. Goodness. It moves me to tears!!

Although I should be thankful every day for my blessings, Easter has made me extra thankful for my kids. Being a parent makes the sacrifice God made with Jesus SO real. And Easter has hit me harder with each passing year of being a mommy. That sacrifice is HUGE!! That is what Easter is all about!

Easter is also, as a Southerner, about new clothes 🙂 I know, I know. Nothing in comparison to all the above. But I LOVE getting our babes dressed up in new clothes! (Doesn’t every mom?!)

I copied an idea that I got from a couple of friends on Facebook and dressed them up in their Easter outfits for 10 minutes on Friday so I could snap a bunch of photos without having to be scrambling to get out the door for church on Sunday morning. I thought that was so smart! That was one less thing we had to do Sunday morning! 😉 And I loved the pictures- good mix of goofy, cute, and sweet. And the little people in them, of course!

My heart is full!! Things got a tad chaotic because Wilson wasn’t a major fan of his jacket and Lily Ryan wasn’t a major fan of her shoes (as you might have noticed by the fact that one is missing in several pictures) but it’s all good. Everyone is happy today!
