Happy July 4th Eve! I hope everyone has had a super restful weekend full of lots of fun! We sure have, and plan to continue the fun tonight and, of course, into tomorrow!
Other than pool time, playing outside, evenings on the porch with Price after babies are asleep, and working on a little summer cleanup around the crib, here’s a bit of lovely as of lately around our little hub!
… The beautiful new Social South coming out! I got to write two stories for this issue. One was about Starkville’s Farm to Fork (super cool event), and the other was about an outdoor area by SummerHouse designer Katherine Shelton! I also got to help Katherine style this shoot, which was extra fun! 🙂 Could this outdoor space be any prettier?! Read more about it here.
… A short but extra awesome trip to the beach with our family! We went to Orange Beach and Price and I both agree that it was our favorite beach trip yet! We think it’s because the kids are a little older and a bit more self sufficient now and their little personalities are just larger than life, which is just so fun!! Also, we took a babysitter with us (s/o to Emily!) so that was CLUTCH. That always makes travel life easier! We are so blessed with a precious family so that, too, is a huge part of why it was such a fun trip!

… Diving back into this 30 day devotional book called Fighting For Your Marriage. I read through it about a year ago and loved it, but it got shoved in a cabinet with a bunch of other books and I found it last week while cleaning that cabinet out so I figured I’d reread! Something I learned at a marriage conference a few years ago is how important it is to keep your marriage at the top of its game ALL THE TIME. You can’t ever get lazy! (Which is so easy to do!) The devil loves nothing more than creeping in and destroying a marriage because marriage is an earthly relationship that symbolizes the relationship God has with us. Covenant. The guidelines for how we are to love our spouse is EXACTLY how God loves us! So why wouldn’t the devil want to destroy such a God-honoring relationship? Ladies, if you’re looking for a quick read and a bit of scripture to start your day for the next 30 days, I recommend this book!
… Making a ton of progress on Donahoo Law Firm! Although there is still much to do, Price is officially moved into his new office and is open for business! After I took this photo, we got a few more things hung on the wall and got the desks cleaned up. But here’s a peek! It’s looking so official!!
