It was such an honor to be included on the guest list for a beautiful party at Highland Village a couple of weeks ago! This party, called Summer Solstice, was held on the longest day of the year, the summer solstice! The official start of summer!
The party was to celebrate Highland Village, its merchants, and other local businesses, makers, and shakers. The soiree was held in the gorgeous courtyard of HV, which was transformed into a boho field of design dreams. The design of the party was PERFECTION.
What was also perfection was my experience as one of the bloggers who was invited to attend! My hair was styled by Vamp Salon and D Squared dressed me. I had such a fun couple of hours letting these businesses work their magic on me. I felt like a version of Cinderella 😉
After getting all dolled up, I got to enjoy appetizers and frose from Aplos while visiting with my blogger buddy Jane Foster. At the party, I got to taste a sample of a shrimp and grits dish from BRAVO!, refamiliarize myself with a wonderful rose beer, see what all The Country Squire (Price’s favorite local cigar shop) was showing folks for the evening, taste a brand new gin from Wonderbird Spirits that I will NOT soon forget, and listen to the music of some talented local blues musicians. Oh, and how can I forget! Kendra Scott let Jane and me hand out some fun jewels to three unsuspecting party guests. That was a lot of fun!!
Highland Village is such a gem in Jackson. They have lovely shops and restaurants ranging from big national names to small, local, one-of-a-kinds 🙂 Have you visited HV lately? And have you followed them on Instagram? If you haven’t checked them out in a while, do yourself a favor and DO IT! I’m a huge fan of the cutie behind their events and social media– she does a beautiful job! (What up Lynsie) And this party is evidence!
