I hope all of you had the best weekend! We had a great one. Friday night, we vegged at home, then Saturday we got a ton done around the house and went to eat Sombra (one of my fave Mexican joints) for supper (they have the BEST margaritas!)
Yesterday morning was Lily Ryan’s baby dedication, which was so sweet. My mama gave us a dress that I wore when I was little, which was made by my dad’s first cousin Missye Rhee, who is now in heaven. It was really sweet and special! (Family insta pic here!)
We then went to eat brunch at Anjou, my fave French restaurant, with Price’s side of the fam since they were in town! Then last night we had a lovely gathering at our house with my side of the fam to do a LR dedication celebration / belated Mother’s Day dinner! Good times!
So I don’t know if any of you fellow Mississippians noticed this, but yesterday it was actually semi cool outside! In the middle of May! Even though MS is the heart of the deep south, we have the craziest weather. I actually found myself wishing for a jacket when we walked out of church! So after brunch, I came home and changed into jeans and a long sleeve shirt to get stuff around the house done + run errands + play with kids + go to Those Who Speak + hang with the family!
I’ve found that my Hatch items are my absolute faves when pregnant, but they are also awesome for postpartum as well! (This line is actually designed to be worn throughout and after pregnancy, so its not just for preggos!) This black and white striped top is one of my go-tos. The material is the BEST and b&w stripes are just so classic. The cut is flattering and forgiving! Who doesn’t need a top like that to throw on every once in a while, right?! I also have (and still wear regularly) this pretty dress. I absolutely LOVE it!
I’m also obsessed with these jeans. They’re from Victoria’s Secret of all places because they used to have a decent tall girl section until they stopped carrying most of their clothing!!! I’m still upset about this. Has anyone else who also likes VS denim found something equally as comfortable, flattering, and affordable?! Please share! I have several pairs of jeans that I just love from there. 🙁
This tote is Lily Ryan’s diaper bag but once she is to the point where she doesn’t need a diaper bag anymore, I’m totally using it as a purse. I highly recommend this method for new moms! Investing in a great bag (Gigi New York is the brand that both my kids’ diaper bags are) just makes sense. Once the kids are old enough to not need a diaper bag anymore, you have a new purse! 😉
// striped top // lace up sandals (special order from Arco Avenue for my ski feet. Similar here and here!) // tote in blush (I special ordered the gray) (Other great purses turned diaper bags here and here!) // shades // nail polish (other great opaque whites here and here!) // earrings //
Thank y’all so much for stopping by today!! Would love to hear what y’all got into this weekend!! Let me know! 😉
