A Rosé Kind of Friday

Happy Friday, people! We made it! It has been a mostly beautiful week around my neck of the woods, so we’ve been spending as much time as we can outside!

One of my favorite outdoor things we’ve done lately is a picnic at the little wine garden area at The Town of Livingston! You might remember all of the cuteness that was this post about babies and their fun clothes 🙂 Well, after that little shoot was over, Vivienne’s mommy Meagan, our fabulous photographer Hannah, and I set up a little picnic and enjoyed some rosé because, let’s be honest, we earned it trying to keep those kiddos happy for pictures! 😉

We gathered up some of our favorite sweets and savories and enjoyed them paired with this crisp, refreshing bottle of South African prettiness that we got at Colony Wine Market in Madison! I’ll be honest: I bought this bottle because it was just too pretty to not get. (And because Chad said it was really good!) After enjoying it so much during our picnic, I looked up some tasting notes to try to help me convey thoughts on the deliciousness and I found this description…

 Badenhorst Secateurs Rose 2017

If that doesn’t sound beautiful and divine and all the other good things, then I don’t know what does!

Everything we brought to go with the wine was enjoyed by the kids as well! Both of my kids are semi messy eaters, but Lily Ryan wins the prize for the most out of control eater I’ve ever been around….She is The. MESSIEST. So that’s why they have chocolate smears everywhere 🙂 Vivienne, however, was content sitting in her mommy’s lap with her paci! So she’s nice and clean. Ha!

Here’s what all we brought with us to nosh on…

… Our favorite Lara Bars

Bark Thins (because they’re simply THE BEST! No, this is not sponsored, but HEY BARK THINS I WOULD LOVE TO WORK WITH YOU! I ADORE YOUR BRAND JUST SO YOU KNOW!!! << That was me being subtle. 😉 )

… Fresh fruit

… Proscuitto

… Smoked Gouda

… Almonds

… French Baguette

It was a fabulous spread!

Overall it was SUCH a fun way to spend a morning with friends. The kids had a blast running around and snacking on things they don’t ordinarily get to snack on, and I enjoyed every second of getting to hang out with Hannah and Meagan. So thankful that blogging has brought me together with these two lovely new friends! <3

I hope y’all know how much it means to me to have you stop in and visit THE HIVE, however often (or not often) it is. This blog has been so much fun for me to have the opportunity to pour more time into! And that is all because of Y’ALL! I can’t thank you enough for your support! 🙂

Before I close, I gotta share my favorite picture from the whole day:
