It’s about time for a new edition of Lovely Lately! (WordPress tells me this is actually version number 17. I thought I’d done more! ha! But who cares, I’m not counting and I doubt any of you are either!) 🙂
With all the lovely fall temps we’ve had sprinkled in lately, I’ve been getting really excited about fall! Here are a few things that have gotten me pumped and feeling lovely as of late…. 🙂
… Fallish blooms for the breakfast table to keep things bright and happy!
… Some really fun vinyl flooring from AtraFloor that I have LOVED using for photo backdrops! One day, I would love to do some fun vinyl flooring like this in the kids’ bathroom… They have hundreds of awesome patterns! You can view them all here!
… Also included in these photos, DONAHOO LAW FIRM T-SHIRTS! These were done up for us as a little firm swag by CreateAShirt.com and they are great quality. The turnaround time was fast and the customer service was wonderful. We will definitely be using CreateAShirt.com again next time we need any sort of custom tee!
… Celebrating my dad’s 60th with a super fun dinner! We did a four course meal with wine pairings so you know we had a ball! I think my favorite course was the appetizer… Baked Brie with pepper jelly paired with a medium bodied Pinot Noir. Kalamata Olives were also a delicious pairing with the Pinot!! And y’all know I had a blast setting the table… 🙂 Here’s what we were working with! I didn’t have enough of any one placemat for us all to have matching ones, so I used two totally different patterns, then kinda brought it all together with similar style napkins and, of course, the same flatware and dinnerware! Happy Birthday to my out-of-this-world Daddy-o!
… Leaving the windows open. When it’s 65 degrees outside, why not just turn the air off and open your windows? 🙂 There have been several nights recently where we’ve slept with our windows open and it has been a DREAM! Thank you, God, for the lovely temps!
… Also included in this picture is a new duvet filler we got recently! (I am really into the dual purpose photo this go-round, aren’t it?! Whoops!) Our old duvet filler got super lumpy just from years of use (and probably a laundry blunder or two during my attempt to conquer this thing they call domestic goddessing… #ifailalot…) so I decided we needed a new one. I LOVE what we ended up with, and it was less than $40 on Overstock! Highly recommend one of these if anyone else is in the market!
… September issues! My favorite fashion issue this year has been Harper’s Bazaar. I love the different cover and the interesting editorial. Beautiful and inspiring, as always! Also, the new issue of Social South is killer! I got to write two stories in it (one about a super unique fall wedding on the Gulf Coast and one about Reed’s Department Store!) I highly recommend each of these if you’re looking for an easy weekend read! 🙂
